On December 5, 2023, a female American tourist
was attacked and killed by a shark in the
Caribbean island nation of the Bahamas.
The person who died was a 44-year-old woman
visiting from Boston, USA.
Her name has not been released.
A woman had put her feet in the water in the
capital Nassau.
Lifeguards brought the woman and her male
relative to shore and performed cardiopulmonary
treatment.
However, the woman died due to severe injuries
to the right side of her body.
