＠半世紀ぶりにネッシー捜索

On August 26, 2023, Loch Ness in Scotland,
northern England, was searched for the
legendary unidentified creature Nessie for
the first time in half a century.
Hundreds of people from all over the world
participated in this operation.
A drone equipped with infrared equipment,
which has never been used in previous
searches, was used.
Hydrophones were also used, which could
detect acoustic signals underwater.
The best-known photo of Nessie was taken
in 1934, showing her long-necked head above
the water, but it turned out to be a fake.
２０２３年８月２６日に、英北部スコットランド
のネス湖で、半世紀ぶりに、伝説の未確認生物で
あるネッシーの捜索が行われました。
この操作で、世界各国から数百人が参加しました。
これまでの捜索では使用されたことがない赤外線
機器を搭載したドローンが用いられました。
また、水中の音響信号を探知できるハイドロフォン
も用いられました。
最も知られるネッシーの写真は１９３４年に撮影
された首の長い頭部が水面から出ているもので
あったが、この写真は偽物であることが判明した。
