■中国の天安門事件

The Tiananmen Square Incident took place on
June 4, 1989 in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China.
When demonstrators were gathering to demand democracy,
the army used force, causing hundreds of casualties.
About 25,000 soldiers have been mobilized to suppress
this demonstration.
With the participation of not only citizens but also
government officials, military personnel, and even
the media, the demonstration reached tens of thousands
of people.
Furthermore, demonstrations spread to other cities
such as Xi’an, Changsha, and Nanjing.
This democratization movement was a protest movement
of students and citizens against Deng Xiaoping,
who was said to be the last emperor.
天安門事件は、１９８９年６月４日に中国の北京市
にある天安門広場で起きた事件です。
デモ隊が民主化を求めて集結していたところへ
軍隊が武力行使して、数百名の死傷者を出しました。
このデモを鎮圧のために、約２万５０００人の兵士
が動員されています。
市民だけではなく、政府機関の役人や軍人、マスコミまで
もが参加したため、デモは数万人にまでおよびました。
さらに、デモは、西安、長沙、南京などの地方都市
にも広がっていきました。
この民主化運動は、最後の皇帝と言われた鄧小平に
対しての学生や市民の抗議行動でした。
