Anne Frank was born into a Jewish family in Germany.
Shortly after World War II began, Anne’s family
began living in secrecy in a hidden house.
At that time, the family was under stress due to
discrimination against Jews and concerns about food
security.
In such an environment, Anne continued to write her
diary.
Unfortunately, the year before Germany surrendered,
the Anne family was discovered by the Nazis.
After that, she was forced to live a hard life in the
Auschwitz concentration camp.
Ultimately, she contracted typhus in the camp and
died at the age of 15.
After her death, Anne Frank’s Diary was published by
her father and collaborators.
Her diary became a best-seller that touched the hearts
of people all over the world.
アンネ・フランクは、ドイツのユダヤ系家庭に
生まれました。
第二次世界大戦が始まってしばらくすると、
アンネの一家は、かくれ家でひっそりと暮らし
始めました。
当時は、ユダヤ人差別や食料確保への不安などで
一家はストレスを感じていました。
そのような環境の中で、アンネは日記を書きつづ
けました。
不幸にも、ドイツ降伏の前年にアンネ一家は
ナチスに見つかってしまいます。
それから、彼女はアウシュビッツ収容所で過酷な
生活を強いられることになります。
そして、ついには、その収容所の中でチフスに
かかって１５歳で亡くなってしまいます。
彼女の死後、『アンネの日記』は父と協力者によって
出版されることになりました。
そして、彼女のこの日記は、世界中の人々の胸を
うつベストセラーとなりました。
