■ライオンとみられる目撃情報

On July 20, 2023, police received a call of
a wild animal believed to be a lion in
Kleinmahannau, near Berlin, Germany.
A lioness-like animal chasing a wild boar was
spotted on the road in the early hours of
the 20th.
This was determined from a low-quality video
taken by a passer-by with a mobile phone.
This caused a great deal of controversy in
Germany.
However, it became more likely that the animal
in the photo was a wild boar, not a lion.
Therefore, it was judged that it was not a
lioness in all respects, and the search was
terminated.
２０２３年７月２０日に、ドイツのベルリン近郊
のクラインマハノーで、ライオンとみられる野生
動物が目撃されたとの通報を警察が受けました。
イノシシを追い掛けるメスライオンのような動物
が、２０日未明に路上で目撃されました。
これは、通行人が携帯電話で撮影した画質の粗い
動画から判断したものです。
このことで、ドイツ国内で大きな話題を呼びました。
ところが、写っていた動物は、ライオンではなく、
イノシシであるという可能性が高くなりました。
そこで、あらゆる点からみてメスライオンではない
と判断されて、捜索を打ち切ることになりました。
