■コモドドラゴンの生態

Komodo Dragon lives on Komodo Island, Indonesia.
It’s one of the big lizard that has a maximum
total length of 3 meters.
When Komodo dragons were young, most of them
lives on trees.
This is to prevent them from being eaten
by adults.
Komodo dragons mainly preys on large mammals
such as deer, wild boar, buffalo and goats.
Also they eat small animals such as bats,
civets, monkeys and birds.
Komodo dragon has a deadly poison.
Therefore, they will give a fatal injury
even buffaloes that are bigger than them
with just one bite.
Even for human adults, by being bitten
only once, there is an example of death.
The characteristic of capturing the prey of
the Komodo dragon is to have endurance.
So they don’t miss the prey they once aimed at.

生息していて、大きいのでは、全長が３mもある
大トカゲです。
コモドドラゴンの幼い頃には、ほとんどが木の上
で生活をしています。これは、大人から食べられる
のを防ぐためです。
コモドドラゴンの獲物としては、シカ、イノシシ、
水牛、ヤギなどの大型の哺乳類を主に捕食しています。
