＠礼文島

Rebun Island is an island located in the northern
part of Hokkaido, 60 km west of Wakkanai,
in the direction of the Sea of Japan.
More than 200 kinds of alpine plants are in
full bloom on this island.
The population is about 2,350 as of March 2022.
Due to the maritime climate, Rebun Island maintains
a minimum temperature of 16°C or higher even
in winter, even though it is located at the
northernmost tip of Hokkaido.
Rebun Island is home to chipmunks, bats, weasels,
and mice.
Brown bears, foxes and deer do not live on this
island.
礼文島は、北海道の北部で、稚内の西方６０kmの
日本海方向に位置する島です。
この島には、２００種類以上の高山植物が咲き
乱れています。
人口は、２０２２年３月現在において、２３５０人
程度です。
礼文島の一帯は、海洋性気候であることから、北海道
の最北端に位置しているにもかかわらず、冬でも
最低気温は１６℃以上を維持しています。
礼文島には、シマリス、コウモリ、イタチ、ネズミなど
が生息しています。
この島には、ヒグマ、キツネ、エゾシカは生息して
いません。
