Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian composer born in 1756.
Mozart, along with Haydn and Beethoven, is one of the
leading composers of classical music.
He was born in Salzburg, Austria.
From Salzburg he moved to Vienna and from then on
he made a living as a freelance musician giving concerts,
composing operas and publishing scores.
In 1787, the opera “The Marriage of Figaro" became
a big hit in Prague.
He was also a popular pianist in Vienna.
There are various theories about Mozart’s cause of death,
including poisoning, kidney disease, and even parasites
from eating undercooked pork.
Ultimately, however, it was concluded that pharyngitis
was the cause.
アマデウス・モーツァルトは、１７５６年生まれの
オーストリアを活動拠点とした音楽家です。
モーツァルトは、ハイドンやベートーベンと同じく
古典派音楽を代表する作曲家です。
彼は、オーストリアのザルツブルクで誕生しました。
彼はザルツブルクからウィーンへ移り、それ以降は
フリーの音楽家として演奏会、オペラの作曲、楽譜の
出版などで生計を立てていました。
１７８７年には、プラハでオペラ「フィガロの結婚」
が大ヒットしました。
ウィーンではピアニストとしても人気がありました。
モーツァルトの死因については、毒殺、腎臓疾患、
さらには、加熱の不十分な豚肉を食べたことによる
寄生虫性患者など様々な説が流れました。
しかし、最終的には、咽頭炎が原因であると結論づけ
られています。
