The luxury liner Titanic sank on the North Atlantic
Ocean at midnight on April 14, 1912.
As in the movie Titanic couldn’t avoid icebergs
and collide.
However, what was found in a later investigation,
If the ship was evaded as early as 30 seconds,
it would have escaped the collision with the iceberg.
The number of victims is estimated to be more than
1,500 including crew and passengers.
The size of the Titanic is a total length of 268
meters and a maximum width of 28 meters.

than 460,000 tons.
豪華客船のタイタニック号は、1912年4月14日の深夜に
北大西洋上で沈没しました。
タイタニック号は映画にもあるように、氷山に回避
できなくて、衝突して沈没してしまいました。
しかし、後の調査で判明したことは、船の回避が
あと３０秒でも早ければ、氷山との衝突を免れて
いました。
犠牲者数は、乗員と乗客を合わせて１,５００人以上と
されています。
タイタニック号の大きさは、全長２６８メートル、
最大幅２８メートル、総トン数は４６万トン以上も
ある巨大な豪華客船でした。

ように、５回以上にわたって警告を受けていました。
タイタニック号の近くにいた他の汽船から
タイタニック号に氷山の警告を出しました。
タイタニック号の船内では、他との交信中であった
ため、氷山の警告を無視しました。
このことが、いづれは大惨事になることなどは
知る余地もありませんでした。

there was an iceberg nearby.
But they were sailing at high speed without
slowing down the ship,
even though they were aware.

the crew on board called for help using a signal
light and radio.
Lifeboats for all passengers are not available
there.

and continued playing for passengers.
This is a real story, and they all died
in this sinking.
途中で、乗組員は、近くに氷山があることに
気付いていたにもかかわらず船を減速せずに、
高速のままで航行していました。
氷山との衝突直後に、船内の乗組員は、遭難用の
信号灯と無線で助けを呼びました。
全員の乗客の救命ボートは用意されて
いませんでした。
救命ボートに避難する人は、乗客の中の等級の
高い順に優先的に乗り込んでいました。
映画の"タイタニック" の中のシーンで
搭乗していた音楽の演奏家たちは避難も
せずに乗客のために演奏を続けていました。
これは本当の話しであり、しかも彼らの
すべてが、この沈没で死亡しました。
