On August 23, 2023, a US Marine Corps Osprey
transport plane crashed off the coast of
Sydney, Australia.
Three of the 23 US Marines were killed and
five seriously injured in the accident.
Police said the cause of the crash is still
under investigation.
The presence of an airstrip near the accident
site allowed for a quick rescue.
Today, the United States and Australia are
stepping up cooperation to counter China’s
growing influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
２０２３年８月２３日に、オーストラリアの
シドニー沖で、アメリカ海兵隊の輸送機
オスプレイ墜落しました。
この事故で、米海兵隊員２３人の中の３人が
死亡し、５人が重傷を負いました。
警察当局によると、墜落原因については依然
調査中です。
事故現場の近くに滑走路があったことで、
迅速な救助ができました。
現在、アメリカとオーストラリアの両国は
アジア太平洋地域で影響力を拡大する中国に
対抗するため協力を強化しています。
