The Boston Marathon Bombing was a terrorist bombing
that occurred in Boston, Massachusetts, USA on
April 15, 2013 during the Boston Marathon.
The 117th Boston Marathon was held on this day.
Halfway through the race, the runners were running
to Copley Square near the finish line when suddenly
two explosions occurred near the roadside.
Three people were killed and more than 282 injured
in the explosion.
Five days after the bombing, police arrested a
fugitive 19-year-old suspect in Watertown, near Boston.
A 19-year-old man responsible for the bombing was
sentenced to death.

マサチューセッツ州のボストンで、２０１３年
４月１５日にボストンマラソンの最中に起きた
爆弾テロ事件です。
この日、第１１７回ボストンマラソンが開催
されていました。
レースの途中に、ランナーたちがゴール付近の
コプリー広場に走っていたときに、突然、沿道
のあたりから２度の爆発が起こりました。
この爆発で、３人が死亡して、２８２人以上が
負傷しました。
この爆弾テロ事件の５日後に、警察はボストン
近郊のウォータータウンで、逃亡中の１９歳の
容疑者を逮捕しました。
そして、爆破事件の実行犯である１９歳の男には
死刑判決が言い渡されました。
