■沖縄で飲酒運転の摘発が相次ぐ

From the early morning of December 22, 2022,
a series of drunken driving cases were caught
in Chatan Town and Itoman City in Okinawa.
A 42-year-old U.S. Air Force sergeant major
stationed at Kadena Air Base was arrested on
suspicion of drunken driving on a road in
Tanimachi Mihama, police said.
The suspect was found to have more than three
times the alcohol limit.
The suspect testified that he thought he was
out of alcohol.
Separately from this, a 25-year-old man
belonging to the Air Self-Defense Force was
arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on
a prefectural road in Teruya, Itoman City.
However, the suspect man has denied the
allegations.
２０２２年１２月２２日の朝早くから、沖縄の
北谷町や糸満市で飲酒運転の摘発が相次ぎました。
警察によると、谷町美浜の道路において、
嘉手納基地所属のアメリカ空軍の４２歳の曹長が
酒気運転の疑いで現行犯逮捕されました。
容疑者からは基準値の３倍以上のアルコールが
検出されました。
容疑者は、酒が抜けたと思ったと証言していました。
さらに、これとは別に、糸満市照屋の県道で、
航空自衛隊に所属の２５歳の男が、酒気運転の
疑いで現行犯逮捕されています。
しかし、容疑者の男は容疑を否認しているという
ことです。
