On August 4, 2025, South Korea began
removing speakers used for propaganda
broadcasts to North Korea.
South Korea’s newly inaugurated
government is seeking to resume
inter-Korean dialogue as soon as
possible.
Regarding the reason for removing the
speakers, the South Korean Ministry of
Defense emphasized that it was
a measure aimed at easing tensions
between the two Koreas.
