The John List Incident is a family murder

in 1971.
Although the suspect was quickly identified,
it took 18 years for him to be arrested
because the incident was discovered a month
later.
The motives for the murders were complex,
but the primary motive was a failed
investment.
A failed investment alone was not enough to
motivate him to kill his entire family.
He had to do that because he was
a perfectionist.

で発生した一家殺人事件です。
すぐさま被疑者は特定されましたが、事件
発覚が１ヶ月も遅れたことで逮捕までに
１８年かかりました。
殺人事件の動機は複合的なものでしたが、
最大の動機は投資の失敗でした。
投資の失敗だけでは家族を皆殺しにする動機
にはなりませんでした。
そうしなければならなかったのは彼が完全
主義者だったからです。
