On March 22, 2023, Prime Minister Kishida left
India, where he was visiting, and entered
Ukraine via Poland.
Here, he held a summit meeting with President
Zelensky and so on.
Regarding Prime Minister Kishida’s visit to
Ukraine, it was learned from interviews with
government officials that the Japanese government
had notified the Russian side in advance.
So far, the Russian government has not shown any
noticeable reaction to Prime Minister Kishida’s
visit to Ukraine.
